About the RoleAs the Technical Manager you will provide technical leadership, management and development to the whole of the Linaker engineering team to ensure operational and compliance standard are exceeded.
You will develop and oversee delivery of HV/LV maintenance and emergency recovery strategies.
You will support the engineering team and our clients in the technical review of proposed works against industry best practice and site standards.
Additionally, you will manage, review and be the focal point our Safe Systems of Work and Safety Rules & Procedures.
You will also be the subject matter expert and author of site‑specific SOPs and EOPs where required and become the Company Authorising Engineer for both Electrical and Mechanical Services.
Ultimately, you will provide technical support to the wider business as directed by the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership, management and development to the Linaker engineering team.
- Develop and oversee delivery of HV/LV maintenance and emergency recovery strategies.
- Support the engineering team and clients in technical reviews of proposed works.
- Manage and review Safe Systems of Work and Safety Rules & Procedures.
- Author site‑specific SOPs and EOPs as required.
- Act as the Company Authorising Engineer for Electrical and Mechanical Services.
- Provide technical support to the wider business as directed by the Director of Operations.
- Recognised apprenticeship, BTEC HNC/HND (preferably to Degree equivalent) within Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline or demonstrate a high level of attainment.
- Full Membership of a recognised sector specific Institution (i.e. CIBSE, IET, IMechE).
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification, i.e. IOSH / NEBOSH.
Technical leadership, management, HV/LV maintenance, emergency recovery strategies, technical review, Safe Systems of Work, Safety Rules & Procedures, SOPs, EOPs, Authorising Engineer.
Preferred SkillsExperience in Electrical and Mechanical Services, strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, problem‑solving skills.
