As an Engineer working on Overhead Transmission Line projects, you will lead and oversee a team of design engineers specialising in overhead lines across a range of voltages from 11kV to 400kV.

Job responsibilities :

Providing technical assessments and delivering practical, problem-solving guidance to team members.

Developing comprehensive written proposals that clearly outline project scope, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, objectives, and key deliverables for stakeholders.

Offering technical input throughout project execution, supporting statutory planning processes, and participating in Public Consultation events.

Managing all engineering and design activities related to overhead lines, including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structure analysis and loading trees, defining design criteria, sag-tension calculations, insulator / conductor blowout and swing angle assessments, damper system recommendations, structure spotting, clearance reports, and selection of conductors and insulators.

Conducting feasibility studies, performing conductor thermal rating assessments, and ensuring full compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Carrying out studies to identify the technically preferred solution or layout to present to the client.

Actively engaging in industry working groups such as CIGRE and IEEE.
