Senior Managing Engineer - Automatic & Industrial Doors

Birmingham (field-based) | £52,000 + Company Van

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a large, well-established facilities management company, for a Senior Managing Engineer to lead automatic and industrial door operations across the Birmingham area.

This role is 60% hands‑on and 40% office‑based, combining technical door engineering with leadership responsibility. As a Senior Managing Engineer, you'll support service, maintenance, and call‑out activities while managing a team of door engineers.

• Hands‑on work across automatic & industrial doors
• Manage engineer rotas, on‑call cover, and PPM schedules
• Order parts and manage spares and materials
• Lead, support, and develop a team of engineers
• Ensure safety, compliance, KPIs, and SLAs are achieved

You'll be an experienced door industry professional with proven team leadership experience. The Senior Managing Engineer will be confident managing workloads, supporting escalations, and maintaining high service standards across customer sites.

• £52,000 basic salary
