Exciting opportunity with a growing engineering consultancy. We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic UK engineering consultancy looking to expand its geotechnical capability. This is a rare opportunity to join as a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer in Birmingham, where you ll play a key role in technically challenging projects from concept to construction. • Competitive salary (£30,000-£50,000) with an additional benefits package
• Hybrid working arrangement based from the Birmingham office
• Mentorship and professional development support, including chartership progression support
• Exposure to a variety of geotechnical projects with a close-knit team and senior involvement

• Lead production of geotechnical drawings, calculations, reports and design documentation
• Analyse geotechnical data and develop ground models, foundation and slope stability designs
• Contribute to ground investigation planning and site inspections
• Work with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GEO5
• Coordinate with project engineers and clients to manage risk and deliver quality solutions

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or equivalent
• Ideally MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics or Geotechnical Engineering
• Chartered status, or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body
• Strong communicator with a passion for geotechnical design and problem-solving
