Senior Electrical Project Engineer

We’re expanding our delivery capability to support a major Building Services project based in Chesterfield
. As the project progresses into key technical and delivery phases, we need an experienced Electrical Engineer/Senior Electrical Engineer who can provide strong technical leadership, ensure high‑quality design and installation standards, and drive safe, efficient project execution. This role is essential to maintaining our commitment to excellence and ensuring the successful delivery of a high‑profile project for one of our key clients.

• Lead Electrical building‑services elements from concept through to completion
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
• Ensure projects meet programme, budget and quality expectations

• Champion a culture of safety excellence
• Support and implement H&S strategies, policies and procedures

• Support and review designs for HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power, specialist and life‑safety systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations
• Monitor budgets, risks and programme performance
• Optimise resources and drive project efficiency

• Review Electrical designs and technical deliverables
• Ensure all outputs meet required standards and client expectations
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks

• Work closely with clients to understand requirements
• Present technical solutions clearly and confidently
• Work alongside multi‑discipline engineering teams
• Mentor and support junior engineers
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
• Propose improvements to engineering processes and methodologies

• IOSH / SMSTS
• CSCS
• 10+ years’ experience in Electrical Building Services
• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards and regulations
• Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑focused environment
• ONC/HNC/NVQ L3/L4 in Building Services
