The OpportunityWorking within the Midlands Transport Roads Civils and Aviation team in either our Nottingham or Birmingham offices (or North West based), you will be involved in the design, specification, drawings, reports, site supervision and supervision of junior team members for airfield infrastructure projects. You should be an incorporated or chartered civil engineer with UK design experience and proven client‑facing abilities. Business development is also part of the role, covering bid support, project management, design liaison, and team management.
Recent project wins have led to an increased workload in airfield infrastructure within the Midlands. Typical elements you will design include geometry, airfield planning and compliance, pavements, drainage, markings, utilities and airfield lighting.
Is this role right for you?Our environment is multidisciplinary, multicultural, and project‑based. You will project‑manage airfield infrastructure projects, ensuring design meets standards such as EASA, ICAO, CAP 168, and understanding constraints of a live airfield.
Qualifications and experience- Experience designing and inspecting airfield pavements.
- Full clean UK driver’s licence.
- MEng Civil Engineering or a relevant civil engineering degree.
- ICE Chartered or working towards chartership or incorporated.
- Project management and bid management experience.
