Design Engineer - Sheet Metal

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Design Engineer required to produce manufacturing drawings with AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor for a well-established sheet metal manufacturer based in central Birmingham.

Key responsibilities:

• Use AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to create manufacturing/fabrication drawings for the workshop.
• Liaise with the manufacturing team to ensure drawings are understood and interpreted correctly.
• Produce 2D fabrication and weldment drawings.
• Log CAD files onto the system and create Bill of Materials (BoMs).

• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D modelling software such as Solid Works or Autodesk Inventor.
• Based in a commutable distance of Central Birmingham.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a Design Engineering role.
• Understanding of metal fabrication / sheet metal design is a distinct advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• IT literate.

• Starting salary £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour working week. Flexible start & finish times upon completion of probationary period.
• 31 days holiday including bank holidays.
