Reliability Engineer

Birmingham (B71)

£52,000-£56,000

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK, this is their biggest factory employing over 500 people. They are looking for a Reliability Engineer to help to contribute towards their site maintenance development strategy.

Role & Responsibilities as a Reliability Engineer:

Responsible for looking at engineering performance, ensuring machinery, systems & service operate efficiently and effectively
Reviewing and developing new PPM's and leading continuous improvement activities
Machine condition monitoring and asset care management
Identifying obsolete spares/parts, liaising with suppliers & OEM's
Work closely with shift engineers to identify problems before they happen and suggest improvements
Carry out RCA investigations and present weekly KPi's & performance updates
Manage plant overhauls, planning weekly shutdown schedules & contractor control

Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be a Reliability Engineer:

Previous experience of being a hands-on maintenance engineer would be beneficial
Must have worked in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally in a 24/7 operation
Experience in a similar asst care, reliability, continuous improvement engineering role
Must be NVQ Level 3 or higher qualified in engineering, ideally with an apprenticeship
Strong problem solver, able to think outside the box and suggest improvements
Good at assessing PPM's and creating new ones
Excellent communicator - working closely with engineers, contractors, suppliers, OEM's
Project engineering experience would be great
Strong machine condition monitoring & RCA experience
