About the DivisionThe Water Utilities Division is the centre of excellence for responding to the UK and Ireland's water and wastewater challenges. The work focuses on ensuring safe water supplies, preventing urban flooding, and improving river and coastal environments. Teams provide services across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and handover.
Overview of the roleThe role involves working on a diverse range of design projects, including:
- Water treatment
- Water distribution and storage
- Wastewater drainage and recycling
- Desalination
Clients include UK water utility companies and other governmental and private organisations.
Responsibilities include:
working across multiple UK and Ireland water companies; participating in multidisciplinary design teams; preparing design submissions; undertaking concept, preliminary, and detailed design; collaborating with clients and stakeholders; and delivering excellence every day.
- Civil engineering degree
- Water and/or wastewater engineering design experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental priorities
- Proactive, adaptable approach
- Working towards chartership
- Strong digital capability
- Experience or desire to develop project management skills
We do not currently offer sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. We welcome applicants who are eligible for other UK immigration routes that do not require sponsorship.
