R&D Applications Engineer

We’re looking for an R&D Applications Engineer to join our growing Sensor Engineering team, working at the forefront of fluid sensing technology.

This is a highly varied, hands‑on engineering role combining lab testing, real‑world applications work, and industry engagement. You’ll collaborate with engineers across different sectors to explore how innovative sensor technology can solve complex fluid monitoring challenges.

This is not a sales role. Instead, you’ll focus on technical feasibility, applications engineering, and working closely with customers and partners to identify practical solutions.

• Work as part of a specialist team developing advanced fluid sensor technology
• Build and support test rigs, carrying out laboratory‑based testing and validation
• Collaborate with external engineers to explore real‑world application opportunities
• Attend industry events, conferences, and field trials to assess technical feasibility
• Contribute to feasibility studies and early‑stage commercial application projects

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Biochemical Engineering or Chemistry
• 2–4 years’ experience in an engineering or technical environment
• Practical, hands‑on mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable engaging with engineers and technical stakeholders
• Able to explain technical concepts clearly
• Open to travel for events, testing, and collaboration
