We're looking for an Assistant Bridge Engineer to join our Structures & Geotechnical team based in Birmingham.

Starting form £32,000 per annum Sector:
Structures and Geotechnical Highways structures We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. We're looking for an Assistant Bridge Engineer to join our Structures team at Kier Design, supporting the delivery of highways structures projects across National Highways Major Projects, SDF, TfL and the South Wales Trunk Road Agency. You'll support Lead Engineers in delivering structures maintenance and new-build schemes, producing technical designs and documentation to meet client requirements on time and within budget.

Are you Qualified in Civil Engineering (Degree, HNC or HND)? Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status? Experienced or interested in highways structures design? As an Assistant Bridge Engineer, you'll be working within the Structures & Geotechnical team, supporting them in delivering highways structures projects.

Main responsibilities will include:
Support the Lead Engineer in delivering highways structures schemes Assist with investigations, inspections, data analysis and design development Produce technical designs, drawings and documentation Undertake site visits and apply relevant standards (DMRB/MCHW) Work collaboratively to meet project and utilisation targets Promote SHEQ, CDM and Health & Safety compliance across all activities What are we looking for? This role of Assistant Bridge Engineer is great for you if you:
Have a degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering Are working towards IEng or CEng status Have experience or knowledge of structures design (maintenance or new build) Have understanding of DMRB, MCHW and CDM regulations Have experience within an engineering consultancy environment Have strong teamwork, communication and time management skills We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
