You will be working in the Technology & Sustainability Team on the M54 project, where we are responsible for creating a vital 1.6‑mile link road between the M54 and M6, complete with upgraded junctions and three new bridges. Asthe Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will:

- Identify, assess and clearly communicate environmental risks, opportunities and priorities.
- Manage environmental specialists, consultants and supply chain partners to develop management plans and meet environmental commitments and requirements.

- Support the Infrastructure Lead Environmental Sustainability Manager and wider environmental sustainability team in delivering continuous improvement initiatives and best practice projects.
- Oversee the development and rollout of effective environmental training for project teams.
- Act as Skanska’s environmental lead with clients, local authorities and regulators, building strong relationships and supporting effective communication and collaboration.

- Previous experience in the construction industry or in a similar environmental role within a related sector.
- Proven experience delivering environmental management on major construction or infrastructure projects, ideally during the planning stage.
- Full membership of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP) or another relevant professional body.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel across projects and contracts within the region.
- 24/7 digital GP service for you and your family
- Financial wellbeing and employee assistance
- Professional development
- Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave)
We thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams. We call it The Skanska Way.
