Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Birmingham The rewards

• £50,000 - £60,000 per year

• Permanent, continental shift pattern — 4 on / 4 off
• 2 x 12-hour day shifts, 2 x 12-hour night shifts, followed by 4 days off

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Diagnosing faults and identifying root causes of equipment failures
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring issues
• Contributing to equipment upgrades and installation projects
• Supporting plant start‑ups and shutdown activities
• Managing maintenance documentation and CMMS activity
• Supervising contractors and supporting external service providers where required
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures and permit systems
• Supporting spare parts management and maintenance planning activities

• Experience with in manufacturing, process or industrial environments
• Multi‑skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with hydraulic systems and industrial machinery
• Ability to read engineering drawings and fault‑find systematically
• Experience supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement activities
• Engineering apprenticeship and/or relevant engineering qualifications preferred
• Experience using CMMS systems advantageous

This is a permanent role working a continental 4 on / 4 off shift pattern for a well‑established international manufacturer in the Birmingham area.
