We are seeking an experienced and accomplished CDM Coordinator to join our UK&I Project team, playing a pivotal role in delivering key infrastructure projects for a government client across a UK-wide portfolio of approximately 800 sites. By providing expert CDM and HSEQ guidance, this role directly supports safe, compliant project delivery and strengthens ISS' reputation for dependable, high-quality, safety-focused facilities support.
The role is primarily focused on the Critical Security Infrastructure (CSI) Project, with support to business-as-usual activities as required. Reporting to the CDM SME/HSEQ Lead, the CDM Coordinator supports the development, implementation and continual improvement of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems in line with the One ISS Way, fostering a strong and proactive safety culture across operations.
- Advise colleagues and clients on CDM and H&S aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations.
- Review and approve RAMS, issuing Authority to Work and Permits to Work as required.
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and audits across multiple UK locations.
- Assist with preparation of PCI/PCC and Health & Safety Files, and notify the HSE where applicable.
- Provide practical, proactive HSEQ/CDM support to operational teams to enable safe and efficient working.
- Collaborate with client counterparts and third parties (including HSE and local authorities) to ensure compliance and effective working relationships.
- Support accident and incident investigations through data gathering and analysis.
- Utilise reporting tools, such as Insight, to identify risk trends and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- IOSH Certificate.
- CITB CDM qualification.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- CSCS card.
- Previous HSEQ experience with a strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Proven ability to identify, assess and manage operational risks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mobile role.
- UK-based role requiring extensive travel for site visits and audits.
- Clean UK driving licence essential.
