We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior / Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our team and deliver exceptional results for our clients across a diverse range of projects.

The HVM Mechanical Building Services Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of technical excellence within high value manufacturing market. The ideal candidate will specialise in the design of clean rooms and high-technology manufacturing facilities.##

Your role
* Lead the design and development of mechanical building services for clean rooms and high-technology manufacturing facilities.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
* Undertake feasibility and optioneering studies; site surveys and technical assessments.
* Develop engineering solutions through the design lifecycle from concept through detailed design to commissioning and handover.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and best practices.
* Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to build strong, lasting relationships and to ensure project requirements are met.
* Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Undertake CPD relevant to our clients products and processes.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.## About you
* Degree qualified mechanical engineer, building services engineer or other relevant engineering qualification.
* Chartered engineer status with a relevant professional institute (IMechE or CIBSE), or approaching application for registration.
* Experience at senior or principal engineer with a focus on the cleanroom and high technology / process manufacturing engineering industries. Previous experience working in a UK regulated industry e.g. semiconductor, pharmaceutical or nuclear would be an advantage.
* You will have good analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable using your own judgement when managing uncertainty and technical risk.
* Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to completion.
* An in-depth knowledge of mechanical building services serving high technology industries such as semiconductor clean rooms, battery manufacturing dry rooms, pharmaceutical manufacturing and containment facilities for biological or hazardous processes.
* Experience in process equipment / tool hook-up. Knowledge of the design of low back-pressure cooling water systems would be desirable.
* Knowledge of specialist extract systems such as pyrophoric, acid, high temperature heat and dust extract systems – completion of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) Local Extraction Ventilation (LEV) course would be an advantage.
* Experience working within design codes, standards and regulations typical for the high technology / process manufacturing engineering industries, including:  + Clean rooms and associated controlled environments - BS EN ISO 14644.  + Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing processes - EU GMP and US FDA.

* Experience in hazard / fault identification studies, for example, HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA etc.
