Civil Engineering, Site Manager
We are currently seeking a Site Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering projects on a civil engineering project in East Anglia. This role involves providing accurate setting out, managing day-to-day site operations, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Lodge can be provided for this role.
Duties- Undertake core site engineering duties, including accurate setting out using drawings, specifications, GPS, and Leica TS16 Total Station equipment.
- Deliver external civil works such as roads, drainage, pavements, kerbs, piling interfaces, concrete works, and steel frame coordination.
- Carry out surveying, as-built checks, and dimensional control to ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Interpret and apply technical drawings, digital models, RAMS, ITPs, and method statements for safe and efficient delivery.
- Use digital construction systems (e.g., ACC) and support basic AutoCAD/model interpretation tasks.
- Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, supervisors, and site management teams.
- Assist the Site Manager with planning, logistics, and pre-construction tasks.
- Prepare and review QA documentation, including RAMS, ITPs, task briefing sheets, and other compliance records.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity across assigned works packages.
- Oversee the full cycle of allocated tasks from site setup through to handover, ensuring work is delivered to specification.
- Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- CSCS card.
- Proven experience in setting out and site engineering on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in using surveying instruments such as Leica Total Stations (e.g., TS16) and GPS equipment.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site health & safety, and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method.
