Structural Engineer – Birmingham. Join a leading global Consultancy delivering some of the UK's most exciting building projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join an internationally recognised engineering Consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable and technically challenging projects across the built environment. With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment in its Birmingham team, they’re looking to appoint a Structural Engineer who is keen to develop their career while working on projects that genuinely make a difference.

Based in a modern city centre office just a short walk from Birmingham New Street Station, you’ll become part of an established multidisciplinary team working alongside Architects, Civil Engineers, Building Services Engineers and other specialists to deliver projects across a wide range of sectors. You’ll gain exposure to every stage of the design process, from concept through to detailed design and construction, taking on increasing responsibility as your career develops.

• Designing and analysing steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures using Eurocodes.
• Producing practical, sustainable and buildable engineering solutions for a varied portfolio of projects.
• Contributing to project delivery, attending client and design team meetings, carrying out site visits, and working within BIM environments.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines.
• As experience grows, mentoring junior engineers and taking on a larger role in project delivery.

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate Member of either IStructE or ICE and progressing towards Chartership.
• Experience designing building structures using traditional materials; ability to solve technical challenges in a collaborative design team.
• Experience using structural analysis software such as Robot; BIM tools including Revit would be advantageous; interest in digital engineering and emerging technologies.
