We are recruiting experienced TP141 Commissioning Engineers to support the delivery of two major substation projects in East Anglia and Oxfordshire, each offering approximately two years of work. This company is a specialist high-voltage engineering company delivering end-to-end power system solutions across the transmission and distribution sectors.

Their expertise includes system design, manufacturing, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of HV substations and protection & control systems, supporting utility, renewable energy and critical infrastructure projects throughout the UK and internationally. Working on a subcontract basis, you will play a key role in the safe commissioning and energisation of high-voltage transmission assets while working alongside established project teams.

• Carry out commissioning activities on HV transmission substations up to 400kV.
• Complete primary plant, protection and control commissioning in accordance with National Grid TP141 procedures.
• Perform functional testing, interlocking checks and support energisation activities.
• Complete commissioning documentation, test records and handover packs.
• Work closely with project managers, clients and site teams to ensure programmes are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Travel to project sites in East Anglia or Oxfordshire as required.

• Current National Grid TP141 Commissioning Engineer authorisation.
• Proven experience commissioning HV substations within the transmission sector.
• Strong understanding of National Grid commissioning procedures and safety rules.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
