HVAC Commissioning Engineer

Location:

West Midlands / Remote, with UK-wide travel
Salary:
Up to £50,000 DOE + Company Vehicle

A growing engineering and compliance business is looking for an experienced HVAC Commissioning Engineer to join its expanding team.

You'll be responsible for commissioning HVAC and associated mechanical systems, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications, industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver HVAC commissioning from pre-commissioning through to final handover.
Review drawings, specifications, control strategies and commissioning documentation.
Carry out inspections and functional performance testing.
Commission ventilation and wet systems, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers, pumps and heat recovery systems.
Work alongside TAB specialists to verify system performance.
Produce commissioning plans, test sheets, inspection records and final reports.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and internal engineering teams.
Work with air and water specialists where HVAC systems interface with water treatment.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year's HVAC commissioning experience.
Strong knowledge of chilled water, heating water, ventilation, air conditioning and hydronic systems.
Experience commissioning BMS and controls.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs and control philosophies.
CSA Grade 3 or equivalent commissioning qualification.
CSCS/ECS card.
SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
Full UK driving licence.
