Electrical Maintenance Engineer

– Job Description We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a range of specialist industries.

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose faults across electrical and mechanical systems on industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out electrical fault finding.
Monitor machinery performance and identify recurring faults and improvements.
Work closely with production teams to respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications
Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
Confident reading electrical drawings – essential.
PLC fault finding / ladder logic experience desirable.
High Voltage experience desirable.
ONC, HNC or City & Guilds qualification advantageous.
Comfortable working in an industrial environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
Heavy engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Contract Details
6-month contract
Up to £30 per hour PAYE / £40 per hour Umbrella
4 on 4 off rotating days and nights.
7am–7pm days / 7pm–7am nights.
Practical interview involving electrical drawing interpretation.
