Head of Technical Analysis - £55-65k p.a. + Benefits - Birmingham & Hybrid
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional CAE /FEA Engineer to join our team as the Head of Technical Analysis. This pivotal role will involve establishing and developing technical standard work (tools and process), ensuring effective implementation, and providing robust technical data to support product development, validation, and production readiness. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation and continuous improvement within the technical department.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement technical CAE / FE analysis standard work and protocols, including product FEA, process analysis, wear prediction, and knowledge-based engineering.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and testing departments, to validate product and process analysis.
Lead and engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance technical capabilities.
Perform technical analysis to support product development and certification.
Design and implement training programs to cascade analysis tools and processes across technical departments.
Approve technical analysis applied during the design development process.
Qualifications
Essential:
Significant expertise in CAE / FE analysis solutions.
Experience in problem solving
Preferred:
Experience of Abaqus FE solver
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Knowledge of design tools and visco-elastic materials.
Day-to-Day
Collaborate with various departments to ensure the effective application of technical analysis tools and processes.
Conduct and oversee technical CAE / FE analysis to support product validation and verification.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills of team members.
Monitor and ensure the timely delivery of tools, training, and product development milestones.
Lead initiatives to improve production readiness and right-first-time (RFT) outcomes.
