Hiring a Graduate Civil Engineer to become a key member of this team, reporting directly into the Project Manager / Senior Project assisting them with the delivery of the scheme. This will include both contestable and non-contestable works.
Key Responsibilities:- Consider Health, Safety, Welfare & Environmental issues with all activities undertaken.
- Attend and contribute to regular meetings with both internally, taking minutes and recording actions.
- Understand the works programme.
- Have a technical understanding of issued for construction design documents.
- Undertake site visits recording progress, quality and compliance, escalating issues if they arise.
- Assist with recording the compliance in relation to the action for all design and construction activities.
- Undertake discrete tasks for the Project Manager/Senior Project Manager, both delivering to an acceptable level and required timeframe. Must understand the relevance of these tasks to the wider scope of works.
Competencies:
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
- Familiar with the principles of administering and operating under standard construction contracts.
- Understanding of the design concepts and processes.
- Experience of standard construction methodology.
- Knowledgeable in the use, calibration, and basic operation of surveying instruments.
- Competent in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Experience:
- Developing BEng Civil Engineering graduate
- Working towards Membership of a relevant professional body at Member or Associate Member level.
