Signalling Design Engineer
Rail Client
Contract duration – initially until 26/02/2027 with potential extensions
£400 – £500 per day
Location – Birmingham
IR35 – outside
Responsibilities:
- Undertake design production/checking of the signalling detail design as per relevant standards and Signalling Design Specifications
- Performing complex railway signal design tasks to relevant standards, industry codes and practices
- Interacting with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimum outcome
- Provide functional support and guidance to junior Design staff for all aspects of Signalling Design
- Assist in the risk assessment of planned and completed designs
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree/HND/HNC qualification
- IRSE Signalling Designer Licence and Verifier licence will be advantage
- Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
- Experienced in Scheme Plans, LAP, Specifications, SSI Wiring, Fringe Designs
- SSI (Westlock) data & Control tables Design experience will be desirable
- WTS
- Westlock trackside system technology knowledge will be advantage.
