The role As Senior Broadcast Systems Designer, youll hold design responsibility for complex broadcast systems from concept through to handover. Youll define the technical architecture for studios, control rooms, production galleries and wider broadcast AV environments across projects that change significantly from one commission to the next.

That means shaping systems at concept stage, producing CAD plans and technical schematics, developing equipment layouts, walking sites and testing designs against operational requirements. Youll stay close to the work as it moves from an initial brief to a commissioned facility. Youll work alongside acousticians, engineers and creative designers who are strong in their own disciplines and expect the same of yours.

Design broadcast systems for studios, control rooms, production galleries and integrated broadcast AV environments. Own the technical design from early concept through detailed design, commissioning and handover. Produce CAD plans, system schematics, equipment layouts and technical documentation. Conduct site surveys and translate operational requirements into practical, buildable systems. Define signal flows, system architecture and equipment requirements. Review and refine designs against client needs, production workflows, functionality and technical feasibility.

Maintain accurate bills of materials and design documentation. Contribute technical thinking to proposals, client discussions and the practices own design standards. What youll bring The successful Senior Broadcast Systems Designer will bring:
Five or more years experience designing broadcast systems, supported by work youre proud to show. Experience designing studios, production galleries, control rooms or comparable broadcast facilities. Strong CAD skills and confidence producing broadcast plans, schematics and technical drawings. A thorough understanding of broadcast system architecture, signal flows and AV integration. The ability to translate operational requirements into clear, deliverable technical designs.
