• Leading the technical delivery of design tasks and activities
• Preparing and/or checking/approving detailed technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications
• Developing designs from concept stage through to detailed design
• Implementing workflow, design processes and best practices
• Supporting the technical and professional development of team members
• Communicating direct with clients and other stakeholders
• Contributing to the resource management of the Team
• Contributing to the development and delivering of the business strategy
• Ensuring the Team complies with relevant standards, regulations and project briefs as well as BWB’s Quality Management System

• Experience across National Highways, Network Rail, Local Highway Authorities and private development projects
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally
• Ability to communicate complex engineering issues/solutions to non-technical audience
• Technical excellence in the field of Highway Design
