We're recruiting an Applications Engineer for an established manufacturer of low voltage electrical distribution equipment.
Specific switch gear experience is not essential. Training is available for someone with the right electrical fundamentals, drawing skills and practical engineering experience.
The roleYou'll help deliver electrical engineering projects once an order has been secured, combining AutoCAD design work with project coordination and regular time on the shop floor.

- Support production during the build, answering technical queries and checking progress.
- Check completed panels against project requirements before testing.

- An organised approach, with experience coordinating engineering projects, orders or workloads.
- Good communication skills and a practical approach to resolving problems.
- A willingness to work closely with the production team on the shop floor.
Your background could be in electrical contracting, electrical design, project engineering or electrical equipment manufacturing. You don't need to have held an Applications Engineer title.
Experience with LV switch gear would be useful, as would an HNC or another recognised engineering qualification, but neither is essential.
