The RoleAs Deputy Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the attraction runs smoothly, safely, and consistently to the highest standards. You’ll be present on the floor, leading from the front, supporting teams, managing guest flow, and responding to operational challenges with confidence and calm.
Working closely with the Senior Operations Manager, you’ll help drive guest satisfaction, service standards, and commercial performance across all areas of the operation.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a constant on-floor presence, overseeing daily operational flow, queue management, staffing deployment, and incident response
- Monitor guest feedback and online sentiment, identifying opportunities to enhance the guest journey
- Ensure the attraction is consistently clean, well-presented, and maintained to brand and safety standards
- Lead by example in service and sales, supporting commercial targets through retail, admissions, and up-sell performance
- Coach, motivate, and develop frontline colleagues, identifying training needs and supporting continuous improvement
- Act as building lead during emergencies, with strong knowledge of crisis, evacuation, and safety procedures
- Support daily opening/closing procedures, team briefings, and KPI handovers
- Liaise with technical, facilities, retail, and production teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Assist with labour forecasting, scheduling, payroll support, and operational budget management
- Identify cost efficiencies while maintaining exceptional guest experience standards
We’re looking for a confident operational leader with a passion for guest experience and team development.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in a guest-facing operation within attractions, themed entertainment, leisure, or hospitality
- Strong leadership presence and the ability to inspire frontline teams
- A genuine passion for creating memorable guest moments
- Experience coaching and developing teams in a service-driven environment
- The ability to stay calm and solutions-focused under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
