We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Private Banker to join our Midlands regional team.
In this role you’ll primarily provide wealth management services to High-Net-Worth individuals and generate new Assets Under Management (AUM) as well as increasing share of wallet for existing clients with the goal of increasing overall portfolio revenues. The expected target market for will be UK Resident and UK Domiciled clients with investable assets of £5million and above.
This will be an excellent opportunity if you are individual who has managed relationships with Private Banking or Wealth Management clients within the target market or if you are looking to gain further exposure to working with clients with more complex banking requirements.

In this role you’ll:
- Provide wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals and generate new Assets Under Management as well as increasing share of wallet for existing clients with the goal of increasing overall portfolio revenues.
- Work closely alongside the Senior Relationship Manager who will oversee the overall client relationship. Initially you will support the Senior Relationship Manager by ensuring that the actions identified in the joint meetings held with the senior relationship manager are fully completed in a timely manner and fed back to the clients as necessary.
- Once authorised, and familiar with HSBC private banking advice journey, processes and solutions, you will be required to undertake client meetings on independently and deliver investment suitability reviews, performance conversations and undertake initial pitch discussions.
- Ensure clients understand and are aware of their level of risk.
- With the Relationship Manager / Investment Specialist, review portfolios on a regular basis and develop client profitability.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Investment advisory and relationship management background gained within a UK Private Banking or Wealth Management business - essential
- Excellent knowledge of investment product solutions and the UK regulatory environment - essential
- Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments Level 4 or Investment Advice Diploma - essential
- Willingness to travel across the Birmingham and wider Midlands region to visit clients
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage the demands of senior internal stakeholders
