Connecting Senior Finance professionals with growth companies

This role is being recruited immediately and will pay well plus great benefits and significant bonuses. Our client is open to considering candidates that have trained through industry but also those looking for their first in‑house role.
This role is a mix of Compliance and Advisory.

- Partner with front‑office colleagues and counter parties to understand the commercial impact and compliance requirements of all taxes in the supply chain across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., severance taxes, royalties, customs duties, import VAT, VAT/GST and sales taxes, climate change levies, withholding taxes).
- Preparation of necessary returns (e.g., VAT, GST, sales tax, climate change levy, EU sales lists, etc.) to ensure the business is compliant with its reporting and collection obligations in all jurisdictions, currently numbering 11 jurisdictions.
- Evaluate and improve systems (both electronic and manual) to reduce the time spent on return preparation, strengthen controls and ensure readiness for future developments (e.g., e‑voicing).
- Ensure company’s contracts adequately deal with these taxes to minimise risk to the firm.
- Ensure the pricing impact of these taxes is properly understood and factored into deals.
- Qualified accountant or tax professional.
- Significant hands‑on experience of at least two of the taxes noted above gained either in practice or in industry – essential.
- Willingness to expand knowledge into other taxes – essential.
- Demonstrable experience of effecting system changes – essential.
- Experience working in/with financial services organisations.
