* Deliver clear variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
* Work closely with stakeholders to improve financial understanding and reporting quality.
* Support quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
* Assisting in ad-hoc requests for information to support stakeholders in the business, including advising on accounting matters under IFRS.
* Supporting the audit process for the group financial statements and establishing relationships internally to assist where required. It is also important to maintain the relationship with the external auditors.
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or equivalent with post qualification experience.
* Strong UK corporate tax experience.
* VAT and indirect tax experience.
* Experience using tax software (e.g. One Source).
* Strong academic record with good numerical, IT and written skills with an up-to-date knowledge of IFRS.
* Strong Excel skills and experience working in ERP systems.
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
* Exposure to US GAAP reporting desirable.
* Experience with in the transportation/logistics sector would be advantageous but not essential.
