We are recruiting two Senior Managers to join our Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting teams at a key moment for Homes England. These roles will suit experienced finance professionals who want to work on high profile, high impact programmes and help shape the future of our organisation.
Job descriptionAs part of this recruitment, we are looking for individuals who can strengthen our capability in two key areas:
- Financial reporting for the new National Housing Bank (NHB), supporting the establishment of a brand new subsidiary and helping to design and embed the reporting, controls and assurance framework from day one.
- Group reporting and consolidation, ensuring the results of all Homes England entities are accurately reflected in the Parent accounts and that our consolidated financial statements—exceeding £20bn in scale—are compliant, robust and audit ready.
Candidates will be considered for both roles through a single recruitment process, and we will work with successful applicants to determine the best fit based on skills, experience and career aspirations.
Whichever area you join, you will play a central role in delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting, influencing investment and funding decisions, and providing authoritative technical accounting advice across the Agency. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to complex accounting judgements, and help ensure our financial information is trusted and well understood.
You will be joining an enthusiastic, motivated Finance team with a wide range of skills, working together with the business to support our housing and regeneration ambitions in a fast growing national organisation with real social purpose.
Person specificationYou will be a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA) with strong technical knowledge of IFRS and public sector reporting frameworks. You will be comfortable navigating complexity, managing competing priorities, and providing clear, evidence based advice to senior stakeholders.
You will bring resilience, curiosity and a collaborative mindset—able to challenge constructively, communicate technical issues clearly, and work across teams to resolve problems. Whether shaping the reporting framework for a new subsidiary or leading the Group consolidation process, you’ll help ensure our financial reporting is accurate, timely and trusted.
