Overview
SF Recruitment are seeking an Indirect Tax Assistant urgently required on a temporary to permanent basis for a well established construction business based locally in Birmingham.
This is a growing organisation with a strong regional presence and an impressive portfolio of projects, continuing on a path of sustained growth within the construction sector.
Responsibilities- Supporting VAT returns, CIS reporting and compliance
- Reviewing subcontractor VAT treatment including reverse charge applications
- Reconciling VAT control accounts
- Assisting with HMRC queries and supporting wider indirect tax processes across the business
- Ensuring compliance with current VAT legislation specific to the construction industry
- Strong attention to detail, excellent Excel skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to communicate effectively across finance and operational teams
- Previous experience within VAT or indirect tax is desirable
- Construction sector experience advantageous but not essential
