Job Overview
Join the Payments Performance Office as a Compliance Readiness Manager to ensure robust compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will work closely with the Group Payments business to monitor compliance readiness, provide timely updates to senior management and external stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in our compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities- Manage compliance readiness obligations, including coordination of activities, data collection, quality assurance of responses and timely submission of internal and external reports.
- Maintain effective oversight, ensuring timely reporting and escalation of compliance issues as required.
- Provide regular readiness status updates to internal stakeholders (senior management, committees) and external parties (regulators, auditors).
- Influence senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Product and Delivery Labs to gain effective insights.
- Design and execute high‑quality risk assessments, compliance testing and gap analyses to monitor adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies.
- Lead governance activities for stakeholder meetings, ensuring data‑driven decision making, speed and transparency.
- Lead the delivery of compliance‑related initiatives and collaborate with delivery teams to embed best practices.
- Prepare governance papers and reports for both internal and external audiences.
- Champion automation and data‑driven approaches to control monitoring and reporting.
- Empower and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to a high‑performing, engaged team culture.
- Champion control and process automation within the Group Payments Performance Office and across the wider Group Payments teams.
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks and payment regulations.
- Familiarity with change management methodologies and agile delivery.
- Experience and technical knowledge of payment systems.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, especially with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation for internal and external audiences.
- Experience with data analytics to support compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented and a continuous improvement mindset.
