A growing and diverse business with both rural and commercial operations is seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone studying AAT, ACCA, or CIMA who is looking to develop their management accounting skills within a varied and hands-on role. The position offers exposure across two distinct entities, providing excellent commercial insight and broad finance experience within a supportive and evolving environment.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will support the production of management information, assist with financial controls and reporting, and contribute towards ongoing process and system improvements across the wider business. Responsibilities:
Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting Performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records Supporting purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliation processes where required Assisting with VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements Producing financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making Supporting year-end preparation and liaising with external accountants Assisting with intercompany accounting and reconciliations Supporting process improvement initiatives and system enhancements Providing finance support to both operational and commercial stakeholders across the business The ideal candidate:
