AGAssistant Financial Accountant

Responsibilities

• Support month‑end close across multiple entities
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments
• Maintain the fixed asset register and run monthly depreciation
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Deliver accurate monthly reporting within group deadlines
• Assist with VAT returns
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements
• Support year‑end audits, liaising with external auditors
• Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function

• Proven knowledge of supporting a finance team
• Studying a professional accounting qualification AAT/ACCA/CIMA
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Salary up to £35,000 depending upon experience (Hybrid working model)
