Mixed Tax Senior/Semi Senior

Birmingham
Salary up to £45,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, an established accountancy firm in Birmingham, who is seeking a Mixed Tax professional to join their tax team. This role offers a blend of personal tax and corporation tax compliance work.

Role Requirements
  • Preparation and review of Self-Assessment tax returns.
  • Managing a portfolio of individuals, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Handling HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
  • Preparation and review of corporation tax returns (CT600).
  • Tax computations for SMEs and group companies.
  • Supporting tax planning and structuring work.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Liaising with teams internally.
Personal Requirements
  • Experience with personal or corporation tax.
  • You will have completed your ATT and CTA qualification, or willing to study towards.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and a keen interest in furthering learning and researching legislation to prepare technical responses to clients.
  • Clear written and oral communication skills, with an ability to explain complex concepts succinctly and accurately.
  • Problem-solving abilities in order that you can deal with client queries and issues and satisfactorily resolve them, escalating queries where required.
  • Ability to work productively under pressure and to very tight deadlines.
  • Very organised, understands importance of responsiveness to clients.
  • Self-confident, personable, and proactive, with the drive and ambition to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and the team.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring that all work prepared is to a high standard.
  • Candidate will be adaptable to change and will thrive on working autonomously.
