Senior FP&A Lead (Planning, Performance and Cost)

Birmingham/Hybrid | Permanent

We are seeking a highly capable Senior FP&A Lead to play a pivotal consolidating and integrating role within our Financial Planning & Analysis function.

Sitting alongside two Senior Finance Business Partners and reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will ensure the integrity, cadence and presentation of the Bank’s financial planning, performance reporting and cost management outputs for internal stakeholders, Executive and Board audiences.

This role brings together inputs from across the Bank into a single, coherent financial picture — short, medium and long term — and ensures it is delivered with the clarity, governance and consistency expected of a regulated financial institution.

You will be central to the delivery of the planning and performance cycle, the cost management framework, model governance, and the production discipline that turns numbers into insight.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Senior FP&A Lead, you’ll play a central role in bringing together the Bank’s financial story — short, medium and long term — and ensuring it’s delivered with clarity, accuracy and insight for senior stakeholders.

You’ll coordinate the planning and forecasting cycle, consolidate financials across the organisation, and make sure our numbers are governed, consistent and audit‑ready.

You’ll lead monthly performance reporting, turning data into meaningful insight that supports decision‑making at Executive and Board level.

You’ll also be a key partner on cost management and profitability, helping budget holders understand their numbers, driving cost discipline, and supporting the development of product and segment profitability views.

Strong model governance and data integrity will sit at the heart of your work, ensuring we operate from a single, trusted financial truth.

And you’ll champion continuous improvement — enhancing processes, templates and tools to make FP&A sharper, faster and more effective.

This is a role for someone who loves bringing structure to complexity, enjoys partnering across the business, and takes pride in producing high-quality financial insight that really lands.

What You’ll Bring
  • Strong experience in FP&A within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Proven ability to consolidate complex financial information into coherent outputs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadership.
  • Strong technical understanding of planning, forecasting, cost allocation and financial modelling.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to turn data into insight.
  • Highly organised, detail‑driven and comfortable owning governance and control frameworks.

We believe that when people feel supported, rewarded and energised, they do their best work — so we’ve built a benefits package that genuinely reflects that. Alongside a healthcare cash plan and a generous 30 days of annual leave
, you’ll enjoy a pension contribution of up to 15%, giving you real long‑term financial security.

You’ll also be part of our profit share scheme
, so when the Bank succeeds, you share in that success too.

We’re passionate about giving back, so you’ll have 5 paid volunteering days each year to support causes that matter to you.

Your wellbeing is protected through income protection and an impressive 7x annual salary life cover
, plus enhanced company sick pay and enhanced family leave to support you through life’s important moments.

And because the little perks matter too, you’ll have access to Perk Box
, unlocking discounts, treats and wellbeing tools that make everyday life that bit brighter.
