Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Charge Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day service charge accounting functions for a diverse property portfolio. Responsibilities- Budgeting and management:
Assist Property Managers in the setting, reviewing, and management of annual service charge budgets. - Year-end accounts:
Lead the preparation of year-end service charge accounts, ensuring accurate expenditure reporting and timely distribution to leaseholders. - Reconciliations:
Perform comprehensive bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations regularly. - Credit control:
Monitor outstanding service charge arrears, issue demands, and proactively manage debt recovery in line with company policy. - Financial reporting:
Produce accurate monthly and quarterly management reports, detailing variances against budget.
