At West Midlands Employers, we’re looking for a qualified accountant to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract – who will work directly alongside our Chief Finance Officer and help shape a finance function that's more efficient, resilient and sustainable for the future. You’ll play a leading role in our finance improvement journey.

You’ll be hands on with visible impact, streamlining processes, improving systems, strengthening controls and enhancing reporting, whilst ensuring our business as usual finance activities continue to run smoothly.

We're investing in a programme of improvements designed to simplify processes, optimise systems, reduce manual work and strengthen the quality of management information.

No two days will look quite the same. One day you might be producing management accounts, journals and reconciliations.

The next, you'll be redesigning processes, reducing spreadsheet dependency, improving month end reporting and helping shape how finance operates for years to come.
