Are you a technically strong Paraplanner looking to work on complex financial planning cases within a highly regarded, people first, Independent Financial Planning firm?

We're partnering with a well-established IFA within the Midlands that is continuing to grow. With a strong reputation for delivering holistic financial planning, you'll work alongside experienced Financial Planners, providing high-level technical support across a diverse client base including HNW individuals, business owners and corporate clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical exposure within a collaborative advice environment where paraplanning is viewed as a key part of the client journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce bespoke suitability reports covering pensions, investments, protection and tax planning.
  • Undertake technical research across investment platforms, pension providers and financial planning solutions.
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts to support long-term financial planning recommendations.
  • Analyse existing client arrangements and formulate appropriate technical recommendations.
  • Support advisers with complex pre- and post-meeting preparation, ensuring advice remains FCA compliant and client-centric.
  • Liaise with providers and internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient implementation of recommendations.
About You
  • Previous Paraplanning experience within an IFA
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (or working towards Chartered status).
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation and retirement planning.
  • Experience producing high‑quality suitability reports and carrying out detailed technical research.
  • Familiar with cashflow modelling software (Voyant desirable) and back‑office systems such as Intelligent Office/Xplan.

This is an opportunity to join a firm where technical excellence is genuinely valued, offering exposure to complex advice work, continued professional development and a clear pathway for career progression.
