Some tax roles encourage specialisation. This one allows you to broaden your expertise across both Direct and Indirect Tax within a small, collaborative in-house team. Joining Halfords as Group Tax Manager, you’ll work closely with experienced tax leaders and gain exposure that would typically be split across multiple specialist roles. You’ll play an active role in compliance, reporting, advisory work and major process improvements, including Pillar2 implementation and new tax technology initiatives.

- Base salary: £55,000 + car allowance

- Qualifications & background: ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE), with experience in practice or an in-house tax environment.
- Technical capability:
Experience in Corporate Tax, VAT or both, with confidence preparing or reviewing tax returns, tax accounting or VAT compliance and an appetite to broaden your expertise. - Systems & data:
Comfortable using finance and tax systems such as SAP, One Source or similar, and analysing data to support compliance, reporting and decision-making. - Skills & mindset:
Highly organised, proactive and a confident communicator, comfortable building relationships across the business.
