Permanent The Trainee Paraplanner role is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a long-term career in financial planning. Working as part of the Paraplanning team, you will support Financial Planners and experienced Paraplanners in the preparation of financial planning recommendations and client reports, while developing your technical knowledge and working towards professional qualifications.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of financial planning areas, including investment, retirement, protection, and estate planning. Through structured training, mentoring, and practical experience, you will develop the skills required to progress within the Paraplanning profession.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the preparation of suitability reports, financial planning documentation, and client recommendations.
* Assist with research and analysis of financial planning solutions across pensions, investments, protection, and other advice areas.
* Gather, review, and maintain client information to support advice processes.
* Develop an understanding of the end-to-end financial planning and paraplanning process.
* Build and apply technical knowledge gained through professional study and practical experience.
* Use internal systems and technology to accurately maintain records and produce documentation.
* Attend internal and external training courses and actively pursue industry qualifications.
* Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Contribute positively to team objectives, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where appropriate.
* Work collaboratively with Financial Planners, Administrators, Compliance teams, and other key stakeholders to deliver high-quality client outcomes.#
**** About You
**** We're looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in financial planning and a desire to develop a career within Paraplanning.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively while meeting deadlines.
* Proactive approach to learning and self-development.
* Ability to understand, interpret, and apply technical information.
* Strong team-working skills and willingness to support colleagues.
* Professional and responsible approach to work.
* Confidence in using technology and business systems.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Experience of financial services administration or financial planning support activities would be beneficial but is not essential.
Working towards, or committed to achieving, the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or an equivalent professional qualification.#LI-VS1 #QC
