About the role...

Homes England has been entrusted with significant increased funding and responsibility and it’s an exciting and pivotal time in Homes England’s supporting the housing sector through the National Housing Bank. This role will be involved in analysing, challenging and sanctioning the financial transactions including loans, equity and guarantees the National Housing Bank will make.

Working in a team with the Head of Risk for Lending Products, this post plays a critical role in ensuring the Lending Products Risk Team deliver high quality investment decision sanctioning across Homes England - and the National Housing Bank. You will primarily ensure efficient, consistent and effective risk review to a variety of lending propositions to help Homes England and the National Housing Bank deliver on the ambitious objectives Government has set it to help address the Housing Crisis.

The role will also play a role in wider assurance activities and maintenance of investment standards across the investment portfolio.

You will be joining our small but highly experienced team, who are committed to making positive change by identifying and mitigating risk to allow the National Housing Bank to provide funding and support to tackle England’s housing gap.

The team believes in delivering a first-class customer service, pragmatically resolving risks and challenges collaboratively wherever possible, taking an innovative and creative approach to issues. The team values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team - so we welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds.

This is a great chance to be part of the future of how the Risk Team provides investment sanctioning support in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose that is looking to help deliver to more complex and impactful projects.

About you...

You’ll be comfortable working across multiple work streams and be able to use your stakeholder and project management skills to quickly adapt to a variety of projects and tasks. You’ll have a great knowledge base, but be keen to learn and deploy your existing expertise and knowledge in a variety of situations.

You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

You’ll also thrive in dealing with a wide network of colleagues from across the organisation and country - giving you plenty of opportunity build a career which could take you right across the activities of Homes England.

As an ambitious professional you’ll understand how to manage colleagues who may have different perspectives and priorities to ours and be able to demonstrate you can work with them in a collaborative, constructive and inclusive way.
