Credit Control Specialist - Salford – Permanent – up to £34,000 Working Pattern:
Hybrid 2 days WFH 3 days Office The Opportunity An established UK organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Control Specialist to join its finance function during an exciting period of growth and transformation. Working within a collaborative finance team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of business accounts, ensuring payments are collected promptly and customer relationships are maintained professionally.

Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring outstanding balances are collected within agreed payment terms. Build strong working relationships with both customers and internal departments. Investigate and resolve account disputes and payment queries to minimise overdue debt. Monitor customer payment performance and take proactive action to reduce aged debt exposure. Coordinate with external recovery partners on escalated debt cases where required.

Review and maintain customer credit limits, balancing commercial requirements with risk management. Work closely with transactional finance teams to ensure accurate cash allocation and account reconciliation. Produce regular debtor reports and provide commentary on overdue balances. Support ongoing reviews of customer accounts to assess credit exposure and insurance requirements. About You Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Collections.

Strong understanding of debt recovery, cash collection and credit management principles. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Comfortable working to targets and deadlines within a busy environment. Experience using SAP / ERP or finance systems, would be advantageous.
