Financial Accountant

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing business based in Chesterfield, who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career within a successful and expanding international business.

The Role Reporting into the senior finance team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for a broad range of accounting activities, including:
Preparing accurate and timely month-end accounts, including P&L and balance sheet. Managing and reconciling intercompany balances across the wider group. Overseeing Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Cashbook functions. Processing bank payments and completing regular bank reconciliations. Preparing and submitting statutory returns, including VAT and tax. Supporting the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Liaising with external auditors and supporting the annual audit process.

About You The successful candidate will ideally have:
An AAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification. Previous experience within a broad accounting role. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. What's on offer?
