Management Accountant

Our client is looking for a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their business based in Birmingham.

This role offers a hybrid working model, alongside a salary of circa £40-45k per annum. Experience in financial services environments is essential. What you'll do:
You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver accurate financial planning that supports organisational objectives. Your responsibilities include preparing detailed forecasts that inform strategic decision-making processes throughout the business. You will analyse complex financial data to provide insightful recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and profitability. You will support the budgeting process by gathering relevant information from various teams and ensuring all figures are aligned with company goals.

You will contribute to monthly management reporting by compiling key performance indicators and presenting them in a clear, accessible format. You will assist in identifying trends within financial results, helping the organisation respond proactively to market changes. You will participate in regular meetings with senior stakeholders to discuss findings from your analysis and offer suggestions for improvement. You will ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements by maintaining accurate records and documentation.

You will work closely with external auditors during review periods, providing necessary information and clarifications as required. You will engage in ongoing professional development activities supported by the organisation's training programmes.

What you bring:

Ideally you have previous experience working within the financial services sector which enables you to understand industry-specific challenges and regulations. Your progress towards full qualification (such as ACCA or CIMA) demonstrates your commitment to professional development within accountancy. You possess excellent analytical skills allowing you to interpret complex financial data accurately and present actionable insights. Strong communication abilities enable you to share findings clearly with both finance professionals and non-finance stakeholders alike.

Your collaborative approach ensures effective teamwork when gathering information or discussing forecasts with colleagues across departments. Attention to detail is evident in your preparation of reports, forecasts, and budgets which consistently meet high standards of accuracy. Experience using financial software packages such as SAP or Oracle enhances your ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently. Adaptability allows you to respond positively to changing priorities or new projects within a fast-evolving business environment.
