Financial Controller

Financial Controller West Midlands | £60,000–£65,000  benefits | An established and growing financial services business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller on a 12–13 month fixed-term contract , providing maternity cover within the finance function. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant to take on a broad, hands-on role with ownership of the day-to-day finance function, working closely with senior leadership to ensure strong financial controls, accurate reporting and effective financial management.

The Role Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations and financial controls Manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow, providing insight to support decision-making Oversee adviser fee, commission and client income reconciliation Manage payroll, supplier payments, client invoicing and credit control Work with HR, external accountants and auditors on payroll, tax and statutory requirements Ensure financial processes remain compliant with FCA requirements and relevant legislation Provide commercial financial analysis and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls Support the Finance Director and senior leadership team with financial strategy, business growth and potential acquisitions About You ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent experience Strong experience across financial reporting, management accounts and financial control

Experience with in financial services, wealth management, financial planning or an IFA environment would be advantageous Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience Good understanding of FCA regulations and financial-services compliance Strong Excel and financial systems experience, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Confident working with senior stakeholders and providing commercially focused financial insight If you, or someone you know would be interested in exploring this opportunity further, please apply or reach out to Adele at Capio.
