Role Description

The Lending Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the West Midlands. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients seeking bridging finance, guiding them from initial enquiry through to completion. Day-to-day tasks include assessing loan applications, gathering and reviewing documentation, conducting basic financial and risk assessments, and ensuring timely communication with clients, brokers, and internal teams.

The role involves clearly explaining lending products and processes, providing updates on application status, and resolving queries to maintain a positive client experience. The Lending Relationship Manager will also contribute to process improvements, support sales initiatives, and uphold compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Strong client relationship management skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a service-focused attitude.
  • Experience in lending, banking, or financial services, with an understanding of bridging finance or property-backed lending preferred.
  • Ability to review financial information, assess risk at a basic to intermediate level, and make sound recommendations within set guidelines.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple cases and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and CRM systems; comfort working with digital documentation and workflow tools.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when handling client data, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with colleagues across sales, underwriting, and operations teams.
  • Relevant experience in property finance, mortgage brokerage, or commercial lending is beneficial.
  • Education in finance, business, economics, or a related field is advantageous, or equivalent professional experience in lending or financial services.
