Senior Risk Analyst West Midlands | £45,000 to £57,000 An opportunity for a Senior Risk Analyst to join a technically focused credit risk team, using data, coding and analytics to shape lending strategies.

This role offers more technical exposure than a traditional banking risk position and would suit someone keen to explore how AI and emerging analytical tools can improve the way they work. The Company They are an established financial services organisation with a strong focus on data-led credit risk management. Their risk function combines commercial decision-making with hands-on analytics and coding. You will work across consumer lending portfolios in an environment that encourages new ideas, technical development and continuous improvement.

The Role Develop and optimise acquisition and customer management credit risk strategies. Analyse portfolio performance and identify emerging trends and risks. Use SAS, SQL or Python to interrogate data and deliver analytical insights. Support scorecards, policy rules, pricing, affordability and limit strategies. Present recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders. Support and develop junior analysts. Your Skills & Experience Strong experience within consumer credit risk analytics.

Coding experience using SAS, SQL or Python. Strong analytical and statistical skills. Knowledge of the credit lifecycle and consumer lending products.

Experience with modelling, forecasting, pricing or affordability is beneficial. Enthusiasm for AI tools, automation and new ways of enhancing analytical work. What They Offer £45,000 to £57,000 salary. Hybrid working, 3 days per week. A more technical environment than a typical banking risk role.
