About Lovey

Join One of the UK's Fastest-Growing Finance Companies

Lovey (formerly Love Finance) is a fast-growing UK SME lender and broker, founded in 2016 with a simple goal: to make business lending simple and fast. Since then, we've funded more than £500 million in loans for over 10,000 SMEs across the UK. We've been recognised by organisations including EY, Deloitte, The Sunday Times, Financial Times, UK Growth Index, FeBe and Sifted as one of the UK's fastest-growing companies

The Role

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who can go beyond traditional FP&A. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Data, acting as a key bridge between teams to improve how we use data, systems, and financial insight to drive the business forward.

You’ll combine strong financial discipline with a hands-on approach to data and systems, helping us scale reporting, forecasting, and decision-making capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and evolve budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes
  • Deliver actionable insights on revenue performance, broker activity, and deal economics
  • Partner with CCO to understand pipeline, conversion, and profitability drivers
  • Build robust financial models to support growth and funding strategy
  • Act as the key link between Finance and Data teams
  • Define finance requirements for dashboards, reporting, and data models
  • Improve visibility on key metrics (e.g., deal flow, commissions, lender performance)
  • Support development of scalable reporting via BI tools
    - Thought Spot
  • Streamline and automate manual reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Improve speed and accuracy of month-end and reporting cycles
  • Help implement or optimise FP&A / finance systems as the business grows
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong FP&A experience in a commercial or high-growth environment
  • Solid understanding of financial control, P&L drivers, and cash flow
  • Experience working with finance systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Ability to translate finance needs into data/technical requirements
Nice to Have
  • Experience in lending, fintech, or brokerage environments
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, or data modelling concepts
  • Experience working with CRM or deal pipeline data (e.g. Hub Spot)
